Dr Brian Chee

Dr Brian Chee

Brian Chee graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2002, and was later awarded membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons of England. In 2010, he completed a Masters degree in Prosthodontics with distinction from the University of Manchester. He later underwent specialist training at the University of Adelaide and was awarded a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Periodontics in 2014.

Dr Chee has worked in specialist private practice in Adelaide and Sydney with a focus on all aspects of periodontal therapy and surgical implant dentistry. He has served as Vice President of the Australian Society of Periodontology and has been involved in postgraduate training at the University of Manchester and University of Adelaide.

Dr John Cho

Dr John Cho

John completed his schooling in Sydney and went on to study Dentistry at the University of Sydney, receiving his BDS with Honours in 2003. Following graduation, John spent two years in private practice in Parkes in country NSW, before returning to Sydney to undertake specialist training in Prosthodontics. His Master of Dental Science program involved undertaking research in the area of implant education for undergraduate dental students.

John is actively involved in teaching all areas of removable, fixed, and implant Prosthodontics. He is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Prosthodontists, and travels widely as a speaker and fellow for the International Team for Implantology (ITI). He also delivers lectures and hands-on training for various implant companies, and holds clinical teaching positions at Charles Sturt University and the University of Sydney, his alma mater. His special clinical interests are in Removable Prosthodontics (dentures), implant reconstructions and gold restorations.

John enjoys reading across a wide variety of topics, and playing the guitar at his local church on Sundays. John’s family and two young children keep him far too busy, but he does manage to sneak in some serious fishing during holidays!

Dr Mehrnoosh (Nu) Dastaran

Dr Mehrnoosh (Nu) Dastaran

Dr Mehrnoosh (Nu) is a Victorian-trained Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon.

She has undergone fellowships in craniofacial and skull base surgery, corrective jaw surgery and craniofacial trauma at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and King’s College Hospital, London. Nu plays an active role in undergraduate and postgraduate dental education at the University of Melbourne and has a keen interest in mentorship of dental graduates as well as Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery trainees in Victoria. She is a Senior Lecturer at Charles Sturt University. She has researched collaboratively with the Victorian branch of the Australian Dental Association (eviDent Foundation) and has completed a Master of Philosophy in Dental Science by Research in the field of Implantology at the University of Melbourne Dental School. She works as a Consultant Specialist at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne, and in private practice in Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Her special interests include corrective jaw surgery, craniofacial trauma, dentoalveolar surgery, implantology, minimally invasive salivary gland surgery and facial aesthetics.

Whilst from London originally, Nu is proud to call Victoria home. In her spare time, she enjoys classical ballet and loves exploring the outdoors.

Hossam El-Haddad

Dr Hossam El-Haddad

Hossam graduated from Ain Shams University (Cairo, Egypt) in 2006, and worked in both public and private sectors before relocating to Australia in 2010. Hossam has worked in private general dental practices in Cairns and Melbourne. He obtained a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in 2015, and graduated with a Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics from the University of Melbourne in 2018. He has now joined the specialist practice, Prosthodontics Plus in Essendon, as well as flying to Launceston to deliver Prosthodontic care to patients in Tasmania. He continues to be involved in prosthodontic education as a clinical demonstrator at the University of Melbourne. He is a member of the International Team for Implantology, the Australian Prosthodontic Society committee and the Australian Osseointegration Society.

Dr Thomas Giblin

Dr Thomas Giblin

Dr. Giblin graduated Dentistry from Sydney University with Honours in 2004. In 2007, after a stint in private practice, Dr. Giblin was accepted into a 3-year Advanced Prosthodontics Residency at the University Of Texas Health Science Centre in San Antonio, regarded as the top program in the USA. In his time there, Dr. Giblin gained a broad education in all aspects of dentistry, including implant, fixed and removable prosthodontics as well as sleep dentistry, occlusion and TMD.

Since returning, Dr. Giblin has worked in several locations before establishing Northern Dental Specialties as a center of dental excellence for the Northern Beaches.

Leon Green

Leon Green

Having always had an interest in science, health and exercise, and with a love for interacting with people, Leon gravitated towards physiotherapy because it allows him to pursue all of those interests and at the same time, have a positive impact on the people that he meets.

Leon completed his undergraduate Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Ballarat and graduated in 2012, then undertook his Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland, graduating in 2015.

He grew up in South Gippsland on a dairy farm, and since he had a lot of older brothers and sisters who lived in and around Melbourne, it felt right to be closer to family and friends, making the formal move to the big city.

Getting to meet new people every day, Leon enjoys hearing his clients’ different stories, learning new things from them and helping his them through a challenging time in their life.

He has a keen interest in the multifactorial nature of pain, especially as it relates to persistent pain. “It’s a really interesting process of unpacking all the contributing factors that build into someone’s issue and providing solutions for that. A goal with my work is to provide simple solutions for complex problems.”

2018 saw Leon complete his first marathon, something that he is very proud of, having a strong passion for running and exercise. He also plays three different instruments!

Dr Dean Licenblat

Dr Dean Licenblat

Has been in private general practice in Sydney since graduating from the University of Sydney’s Dental program, and has also completed his Bachelor of Science with honours in Microbiology. He also holds a prestigious Master’s Degree from the Goethe University in Frankfurt with a focus on Oral Implantology and Bone Grafting.

As a “Diplomate” member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), the highest ranking achievable Dr. Dean Licenblat together with Sydney Dental Aesthetics & Implants is one of a few dental surgeries to be awarded ‘Leading Implant Centres of the World’.

As a member of numerous dental societies and an unparalleled dedication to continuing education Dr. Licenblat often attends post-graduate educational programmes both locally and abroad. The results of which are integrated into the practice thus offering patients the most technologically advanced and effective long-term treatment modalities.

Dr Jonathan Rooke

Dr Jonathan Rooke

Dr Jonathan Rooke is a specialist orthodontist working in private practice with the Melbourne Orthodontic Group. He graduated dentistry in 2006 from the University of Sydney and orthodontics in 2013 from the University of Queensland. Jonathan has spent time teaching at various universities around Australia and also demonstrated in the UK. Currently he is the chairman of the nationally supported orthodontic charity “Give A Smile” and also ADAVB Group of Stonnington and Port Phillip. Jonathan has a special interest in orthodontic biomechanics and digital orthodontics.

Carolina Pérez Rodriguez

Dr Carolina Pérez Rodriguez

Carolina graduated from the University Complutense of Madrid, one of the oldest in the world, in 2006. She moved shortly after to Oxford (UK), where she worked as a general dentist and undertook further studies in restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, and implants in London, Manchester, and France. During this time, she gained membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (UK).

In early 2013 she settled in Melbourne and while working in private practice, she completed a part-time diploma in clinical dentistry in the field of implants at The University of Melbourne. Carolina also received her prosthodontics specialist training and degree at Melbourne University.

Carolina is a clinical demonstrator for undergraduate dental students and has lectured in Melbourne and regional Victoria for the Australian Dental Association. She works as a specialist prosthodontist in Cheltenham, Victoria and Launceston, Tasmania.

Dr Harry Vlachodimitropoulos

Dr Harry Vlachodimitropoulos

Dr Harry Vlachodimitropoulos completed his Bachelor of Dental Science at The University of Melbourne in 1990 and practised general dentistry on the Mornington Peninsula. In 1995 he completed his specialist training in Prosthodontics at The University of Melbourne. He has since been in private specialist practice in Hawthorn East and Frankston. He regularly gives lectures to the dental profession and is a clinical demonstrator at The University of Melbourne in the Prosthodontic specialist program.
